Introducing the Orphan’s Potluck Series. What is it? It’s an easy potluck fellowship evening celebrating a specific holiday or event that’s for those people who feel alone. An ‘orphan’ might be someone whose children have all grown up and moved away, or someone whose partner works shift work, or someone who’s new to our community and hasn’t met a lot of people yet, or someone who’s just plain lonely and wants a reason to go out and join others for a night of fun. And to make the potluck an easy event for everyone, it will be BYOD – which means everyone will be responsible to bring their own dish to eat off, cutlery to eat with, and mug to drink from AS WELL AS a potluck dish to share. No one will be stuck in the kitchen doing dishes for this night! Our first event will be the Orphan’s Valentine’s Day Party held on Sunday, February 17th in the fellowship room with dinner at 5:30. Specific details to come in the next few weeks but if you have any questions, contact Angela Cragg at [email protected] or 250 656-4645.
