Since 2013 SBF has connected with some incredible local Christians in Bassin Bleu, in the mountains near the city of Jacmel on the south coast of Haiti. Through this relationship we have been able to partner with Paradise Project, a small local organization rooted in the community, to serve locals through micro loans, housing, education, farming, livestock, and more.
All the work within the community is done by and for local families with the goal of supporting them as the build sustainable and affordable lives for themselves in a country often decimated by extreme weather, difficult political climate, and many other socio-econical difficulties. We have been blessed an encouraged through this partnership and are excited for what God has for us next with our friends in Haiti. We have been twice with teams in the last two years and plan to return in 2018.
