From our missionary partners Paul and Sharyn Branson:

God Provides Again

We have been invited to present two seminars at Alberta MissionFest in Edmonton in February. This is a large missionfest with many ministries having booths to promote their ministries as well as free seminars of various topics. As we will be at the Missionfest to present on both Friday and Saturday, we felt that it was a good idea to rent a booth space. However, it costs $630 for the smallest booth. We were hesitating to apply for a booth due to the financial costs. The lady, Joan, in charge of the booths emailed us in December, the day before the deadline, to ask if we had made a decision yet. Paul and I talked and prayed about. We felt that we were to commit to a booth and trust Him for the funds. The next morning, I emailed Joan, apologizing for taking so long to reply and saying that I would have forms to her before noon. I also explained that our delay in answering was due to funds but God will provide. Joan emailed me back and said that they had a donation of a booth and that they had decided to award that to us so the only cost to us would be the table, chair and electricity rental. WOW – I was stunned and amazed. I thanked God at the top of my voice.

I completed the forms, and listed our top three choices of booths. All the booths were the same booths that we were going to apply for; the smallest booths, located in lower traffic flow areas of the hall. Joan emailed me back to say that we were not getting any of our top three choices. The booth that we were being assigned is a medium size booth that is right in the middle of the hall, in the middle of the traffic flow. Again, WOW. Paul and I were so surprised and can not stop praising God! We are excited to see what God has planned for these three days at Alberta MissionFest. MissionFest Alberta is free of charge. If you are attending, please be sure to find us and say hi. We would love to catch up on you and your lives in person.

Shoeboxes of gifts have arrived in the Dominican Republic and we planned a huge party! Yesterday, we had a party at the clinic for almost 100 children and their families and will be giving out shoeboxes full of toys that churches in North Carolina put together and have sent to these children in our community. Cupcakes, pop, gifts, praising God. Join us in praying that God’s love and Word reached the hearts of the kids and their families as many of these families are not believers. I will send out an email later next week with photos of the kids from Saturday’s party!

In order to do what God has called us to do at this time, which is to promote the ministry, we need to travel. We are thankful for being able to use airmiles for our flights to Vancouver which made the cost of our plane tickets $100 each.

In February, we are scheduled to share in Victoria at Saanichton Bible Fellowship and Brae Road Gospel Chapel. We will also be at Alberta MissionFest in Edmonton. In March, we will be in the Dominican Republic from 4 – 22 March as we lead two mission teams. One team is from Victoria BC Canada and one is from Charlotte NC United States.

We do not have family near us and are thankful for friends who are letting Noah and Samantha stay with them and their family while we are at MissionFest Vancouver. However, we can not always leave Noah & Samantha behind. Traveling is one of our larger expenses. At this time, we have do not have the funds for travel to Victoria in February and have 50% of our tickets for the DR in March to pay. Your prayers for funds to cover travel expenses are greatly appreciated. With the prayers of many, God can move mountains.
